Sıralama sayıları (Ordinal numbers)
After the counting numbers, I just want to explain ordinal numbers and grammar patterns.
Firstly, for the grammar patterns we have four different things.
(I)NCI
(İ)NCI
(U)NCU
(Ü)NCÜ
These four will be used according to the last vowel.
Birinci - First
İkinci - Second
Üçüncü - Third
Dördüncü - Fourth
Beşinci - Fifth
Altıncı - Sixth
Yedinci - Seventh
Sekizinci - Eighth
Dokuzuncu - Ninth
Onuncu - Tenth
A,I - (I)NCI
E,İ - (İ)NCI
O,U - (U)NCÜ
Ö,Ü - (Ü)NCÜ
These are the grammar patterns to decide what to use according to the last vowel.
Note : When the words are already ended with a vowel, you don't need to add the vowel.
Example : Bir which means one in English is ending with "R" and the last vowel is "İ". So you have to add the vowel and write like Birinci. For the another word, İki, the ending alphabet is "İ" which is also the last vowel in this word, so you don’t need to add “N” and it becomes İkinci which means Second in English.
Note : For the word, Dördüncü, you have to change the alphabet "T" to "D".
There are three ways to write the ordinal numbers. Firstly,

Onuncu
Secondly, put numbers together like-
1'inci
2'nci
3'üncü
4'üncü
5'inci
6'ncı
7'nci
8'inci
9'uncu
10'uncu
For the last one, just put the dot (nokta in Turkish) after the numbers.

Note : Be careful to pronounce the ordinal numbers when you see the numbers with dot.
